New Creations

I made three fabric journals this past week. It was so fun to get out the sewing machine again. I have a custom order for a recipe card holder (fabric) and recipe cards that I’ll be working on this weekend.

I hope to take time to make some more fabric journals to list in my Etsy store. The three ring binder kind. Two of the journals I made this past week have already gone to their home. The third journal (the quilted one) is being donated for a raffle to March For Babies.

I’ll post pics of new creations as I make them.

New Etsy Find Favorite

I sold another fabric covered journal this past week. When I sell something, I love to check people’s feedback to see what other things they purchased (yes, I’m nosy).

From doing this, I came across a wonderful new Etsy store (The Conservatory)and made my first purchase (a Chocolate Satin Double Bloom Headband) from Danielle. I’m now interested in one of her clutch’s, two of her onesies (one being custom made to have Brody’s name on it) and a Chocolate Satin Bloom ponytail holder. I’m addicted to this seller! LOL!

What sold me on her stuff even more was her story. Please take time to read her story, check out her store and if you like something, help support her and her family.

I have never met Danielle, but through our Etsy “chats”, she has been so kind and personable. She has been so great to work with (my custom orders). I’m excited to get my new purchases from her (and watch for a bloom in my hair). I know you’ll be wanting one too.

Coffee Place Found (hidden gem)

My husband found out about a coffee place near his work. I’m not sure how long it’s been there, but I don’t know that he would have ever found it if someone hadn’t told him about it (since he doesn’t have a reason to go down the street that it’s on).

The place is called Hope Cafe. They serve coffees, teas, soft drinks, shakes, breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and more. Their prices are really good and the service is great! This coffee shop is very large with plenty of seating. The three of us went, found two comfy leather chairs and sat down while Brody looked at us both. It was so relaxing and peaceful.

I had a Decaf. Almond Mocha and Jason had a Mocha. We both liked what we got. We will definitely go back and maybe check out something other than coffee.

To my surprise, I’ve made four sales in 19 days. WooHoo! My Etsy store is starting to look a bit sparse so I’ll need to take some time to create some new things to list. It’s been a while. Here is a picture of my latest sales:

3-Month Photos

On Saturday, January 30th, Brody will be having his 3-month photos professionally taken by a local photographer who is coming to us (this will be interesting).

I have absolutely NO clue what to dress Brody in. Any suggestions on how to dress a 3-month old for photos (he normally wears a long-sleeve onesie with a pair of sweat pants and socks (classy, huh).

My Niece Visits

This past weekend (Friday through Monday), my Niece and Mom visited. It was my Niece’s first time meeting Brody and my Mom’s 3rd time visiting since Brody was born. LOL! We had such a great time! Jason and I even took a night to go out on a date. It was so nice!

My Sister used to visit once a year. Our tradition was to eat cheesecake each time she visited. Since she wasn’t here this time, my Niece and I decided to have cheesecake. We had a different cheesecake each day she was here (four pieces total). They were ALL good.

Not A Screwdriver

I walked into my office the other day to see one of my scrapbooking tools out on my project table. I knew I didn’t get it out, so knew it had to be Jason, so I asked him what it was doing out. He said he was using it as a screwdriver. LOL! Um, not even close.

I’ve Got Nothing

So, you take away the topic of Brody and I have absolutely nothing to say. How sad is that? No time for creations, making new recipes (although we’re getting back to making some “clean” recipes that we’ve already made) and nothing exciting to write about.

I’m behind on magazines, trying to read three child books (and a ton more to one day read), received two new “eat clean” recipe books for Christmas and have a million recipes marked that I want to try (and blog about).

Tomorrow, I am getting a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow wax. Happy (early) birthday to me! Jason told me to go out and relax, take as long as I needed and they’d be here when I get back. I can’t wait to go. It’s not because I want to get away from Brody. I just need some pampering (even if it’s not at a spa). LOL!
