Brody lost his umbilical cord over a week ago, but we hadn’t given him an official bath until this past weekend.  I was waiting for my sister to come and give me some confidence and guidance before he got one.  To our surprise, Brody did GREAT!  He didn’t cry once.  We were all surprised, especially since he hated the sponge baths (I guess sitting in warm water is more enjoyable).

Jason was armed with the video camera and my sister was armed with the camera.  It was great getting this moment captured for a lifetime.

We almost made it through a month without getting peed or pooped on.  Granted the Pediatrician and Jason’s Mom both got peed on, but we were spared….until this morning.

Brody decided to ambush us with both pee and poop.  Let me tell you, it was quite a sight.  At least both Jason and I were laughing about it.  We couldn’t move quick enough.  That little stinker.

Ok, so I’m extremely late on posting this picture (taken almost three weeks ago).  It was Brody’s first tummy time and he’s laying on my baby blanket that my Great Grandma made for me.  Everyone thought for sure I was going to be a boy.

This is going to be a very quick post.  I’ve been wanting to put these pictures on my blog for a week now and just haven’t had the time.

Here’s my first attempt at wearing a sling (still need to figure this thing out).  Thought the photo was hilarious (I’m like a kangaroo with a pouch).  LOL!

My parents just left and Jason has gone to the store to pick up some more diapers (who would have thought I’d need more than one large box of newborn diapers…LOL).  I’m learning to type and hold Brody at the same time.  So far, so good.  I just wanted to add a couple of photos of him to my blog before he wakes up and is ready to eat.

Our little boy arrived on Halloween.  How much fun he’ll have every year celebrating his birthday with a ton of treats, dressing up, and eventually schools having fun parties all to honor him (shhh…we’ll just let him think the parties and trick-or-treating is all about him).

I can’t even begin to tell you how bored I am right now.  I know…I’ll regret saying that soon and wish I had time to be bored again.  We are so ready for this little guy to come.  It’s just crazy!  I’m definitely in the uncomfortable stage.  Sleeping is the worst and I’m so tired.  I’ve even been taking naps (not that those are any more comfortable).  I’ve even gotten several more things off my list that didn’t need to be done now.

Today I worked on going through my “Clean Eating” magazines (I was behind on two of them).  I just love these magazines.  They have great photos of “clean” items and recipes galore.  I always mark the recipes we’d like to try, then put them in a spreadsheet (name of recipe, what magazine edition it’s in, and the page number) for easy reference.  That’s where I go to when making my grocery list and planning out our weekly menus (which I haven’t done for a while now).  Then I post pictures and the recipe on my blog.  I highly recommend checking out the magazine if you have time.  It’s great!!!

I’m so bored, I’m rambling.  I’ll stop for now and hope to be able to blog about our new little edition very soon.  He’ll have his own website, so my blog will go back to being my blog (creations, recipes, etc…).  When I get approval to start exercising again, I have another blog that I plan on using to document my weight loss (with fat pictures and all…LOL).  It’s ready to go (had planned to start it when I found out I was pregnant back in February).  It’s just waiting to be filled with content.

I mentioned earlier that I have the birthday and Christmas presents already purchased, wrapped, and shipped for my nieces and nephews (this was the start of it all).

• I have my Christmas newsletter already written and ready to print out (after the final few tidbits to add to it).
• I have my baby announcements created and ready to go (I just need to put in the “stats” and add some pictures).
• I have the envelopes already addressed with the mailing labels and return address labels and stamped for both the Christmas newsletter and baby announcement.
• I have all of my birthday and anniversary cards purchased, addressed, and in order of when to send them from now until the end of January.
• I have my 2010 calendar already purchased and updated.
• And, I have “Mommy Calling Cards” already purchased and ready to hand out when my little one is ready for a play date.  I ordered them off of moo.com and picked their variety pack of designs (too lazy to upload my own).

Yes, you can laugh.  Yes, I am that anal about organization and being ahead of the game.  And yes, I’m just a freak (and love it)!

Ok, so I’m not quite 38 weeks, but close enough.  I figured since I got ready today, I might as well have Jason take my picture.

I’m in desperate need colder weather clothing.  I have the shirt I’m wearing in the picture and one hoodie (which is in the laundry).  I also only have one pair of shoes that fit my swollen feet and they happen to be flip flops that you can’t wear socks with.  *sigh*  This is going to be an interesting last few weeks of pregnancy.  LOL!
