Tissue Paper Wreath
October 13th, 2011 @ 3:22 pmBrody’s best friend (Ashley) is having her birthday party this weekend. I’m also in birthday party mode as Brody’s party is at the end of the month. While searching online for ideas for his party, I came across a cute tissue paper wreath tutorial. Of course it looked too girly, but I wanted so badly to make it. No biggie, I’ll just make it for Ashley.
Her party this weekend will consist of pink and green polka dots, which is why I went for the colors that I did while making it. I’m very happy with the way it turned out…
For the most part, it was extremely simple to make, but VERY tedious! I will not be making one again, but absolutely love the fun look of it and happy to cross it off my list as being accomplished. I would recommend trying it if you like it and have a reason for it. It’s cheap to make and honestly just takes time, so if you have the time, go for it.

Amy, you SHOULD make this! You could make a cream one with sprinkled in brown tissue paper to look like chocolate chip cookies. Or do one with blue and pink mixed together (if I remember correctly, she doesn’t know what she’s having, right?). You could create a center cookie circle with the initial of their last name or something or a picture of a milk bottle. Just a thought. The kids would have fun helping you twist the ends of the tissue paper and handing each piece to you to insert and glue in.

I LOVE it! When I saw the “A” I was like oooo “A” for Abby.
I love Ashley though and still sad I didn’t get to see her when we came to visit. That was such a good idea to make for her party
