Gift Wrap

I love wrapping gifts!  There’s just something about being able to touch my creative side and make something creative without spending a lot of time. Obviously having cute wrapping paper helps, although using standard solid white or even kraft paper works sometimes even better (then the sky is the limit with accessories and colors you can use).

My neighbor is about to have a birthday.  I purchased this gift wrap from her daughter for a school fund raiser.  I figured it was the perfect gift wrap to use to wrap her gift.  I purchased a huge roll of brown ribbon last year and have used it in many projects (getting my moneys worth for sure).  This was perfect to wrap around the whole gift.  I then printed out “Happy Birthday Jen” on cardstock and cut it to the size I wanted. Add some thinner ribbon, cut some holes through the cardstock and viola. Simple and easy gift wrapping.

I will definitely use this technique again (so easy).

Giveaways!

About a month ago, I stumbed across a blog called,  Grinning Cheek To Cheek.  This past week, she posted about an upcoming “Birthday Boy Blast”, a two-week long review and giveaway event hosted by herself and her friend Jen from lifewithlevi.com.  Both of their boys are turning one (one just turned one and the other is about to turn one).

From September 19-30th, they will be featuring products related to birthdays, toddlers, or their parents. There are some really great giveaways lined up, including:

  • Boon Flair High Chair from Boon
  • Britax Marathon 70 Car Seat from Hayneedle
  • Ergo Sport Carrier from Ergo Baby
  • Baby bedding sets

And much, much more!

Just wanted to tell you all about it in case you’re interested.  Hope someone I know wins something. :)  If so, make sure you tell me all about it!

SMASH

Have you heard of K&Company’s new SMASH Collection?  I just stumbled across a video about their new product line and am in LOVE!

The products are SO reasonably priced! I’m thinking it would be fun to make one of the journals into one year of life with Brody and our adventures together. To take something from each day we have together and quickly “smash” it into the book and say something quick about it. How fun to look back on that in a later year. Just a thought.
