T-Shirt To Yoga Pants

I found a great blog post about how someone turned a t-shirt into yoga pants. There wasn’t a lot of instruction on it, just a quick statement that she did this. I wanted to read more about it, so searched Google and came across a YouTube tutorial on how to do this.

I forgot to take a picture of the t-shirt before I started, but here’s a photo of a navy one I found online (it’ll at least give you an idea of what I started with):

And here is what they look like afterward:

This was VERY easy to do. I will say that I really needed to use a larger shirt. The pants are a bit snug (fit fine, but not something I’m going to wear in public). :)

Whenever you’re at a sale and find a cheap man’s shirt that’s size XL or XXL with a great graphic on it…GRAB IT! Just think how many cute capri pants you can make. So comfortable and SO easy to make!!! I want to make so many more (just wish I could get my hands on some more shirts).

  1. Oh my gosh, I love that! You did a fabulous job! I am always trying to find the perfect dance/workout pants and that is my favorite length! Thanks for sharing.

  2. Oh my gosh Jan, how awesome! Those are cute and look like something you would buy (at Old Navy apparently! haha!)! You’ll have to show me how to do that sometime.

  3. Andrea, you will flip with how fast and easy these are to make. I’m sure Grant has some larger t-shirts that he no longer needs that you can use. Can’t wait to see what you come up with. Feel free to share any hints and tips with me. :)

  6. You definitely need to make yourself a pair (or I’ll make some for you). It’s SO easy!!! Love that I can just make me some instead of buying them somewhere (cheap).

  10. Thanks, but I think everything I create, I’ve gotten the idea from someone else and used their specific instructions (certainly couldn’t come up with this on my own). :)
