Another Creation

WHAT!?!?, you say.
My friend (thanks Danielle) is getting ready to make a quilt for her daughter and blogged about several patterns she is considering. I thumbed through them and was so intrigued by this circle quilt and how easy it looked to make, that I had to try it out (on a much smaller scale).
Two nights ago, I cut my fabric and got it ready to go. Last night, Jason played with Brody while I put this mini tag blanket together. It was very easy to create the top, but tedious. I used a different brown minky fabric for the back, added several ribbon tags and my new signature label advertising “three14creations”, and was done. Viola!
I have no use for this one, so am passing it on to my friend today to use for either her daughter or her new niece. It was fun to make and now I’ve created a quilt different from anything else I’ve created in the past. I love trying new things. Thanks again Danielle for posting this pattern on your blog.

I can imagine how long it’s taking for the crib size quilt to come together. It’s very tedious, but oh so cute! I just love this pattern and can’t wait to see your finished quilt.

is yours quilted (top stitched) or washed? I’m looking forward to frayed edges on the circles, but be forewarned: if you don’t quilt it and sewed with a 1/4″ margin like the girl does, the piecework might unravel. happened to my apron, so I quilted it after washing and mending the tears.

Good to know. I didn’t quilt the top since it was such a small piece. Didn’t feel the need to. I like the look of the frayed circles, but hoping the piece stays together. I guess I’ll never know as I’ve already passed it on. LOL!

Seriously girl-you are amazing!
And I have to say the same — you are so fast.
You are truly creative, inspiring — and the BEST!
