Meet Baby White
August 27th, 2009 @ 8:31 amWe had fun yesterday seeing our baby boy again (4D ultrasound). He is so cute and looks just like his Daddy! He was extremely active and not very cooperative either, so we do get a free rescan or I guess you could say that yesterday was free and we’ll pay for the rescan. We’ll head back this coming Tuesday to do the rescan. When we left yesterday, we received 4 black and white photos, 9 colored photos, a CD of the photos, and a DVD of the scan. We’ll also receive everything again when we have the rescan, so we’re getting quite a bit more for our money and we get to see our baby boy again. Bonus!
We went to Triangle Imaging Center in Cary, NC. The office was super nice and comfortable, and the staff was amazing! We both highly recommend them! They’re very personable and make you feel completely comfortable.
Our little one had his hands and feet up next to his face practically the whole time. He also loves to play catch with his umbilical cord and hold it close to his face (can you say Linus from “Peanuts” with his blanket). He has very long legs (just call him grasshopper boy) and we got to see both hands, feet, ears, eyes, nose and mouth (more of the hands and feet than anything else…that stinker). We tried everything to get him to put his hands and feet down. I drank juice, ate some chocolate, got up and down a million times, changed positions for the scanning, and even emptied my bladder one more time. Nothing did the trick. I’m thinking we’re going to have a strong-willed child on our hands (just like his Mommy).
The Ultrasound Technician was extremely knowledgeable! She answered all of our questions and even went further to explain things. She was so patient and as sweet as can be. I hope we get the same person again on Tuesday. I’ll post another picture of our boy if the pictures are any better than what we currently have.
On a side note, I’ve had a few people ask me what the difference is between the 3D and 4D ultrasound. I had to look it up, but wanted to post the answer in case you had the same question.
What is the difference between 2D, 3D, & 4D Ultrasounds?
2D technology is the black/white technology and is used for gender determination and to listen to the baby’s heartbeat. 3D produces color still shot pictures. 4D, in simple terms, is 3D in movement. So if your baby is sucking his/her thumb, crying, yawning, etc. you will see his/her movements and gestures in the color technology.

That is TOO COOL! Boy, has technology come along way since my boys were born 25 years ago! I agree … he DOES look like Jason … especially the nose & mouth.

He definitely looks like Jason. At least I know I’ll have a great looking boy (since I think Jason is so handsome already).

Handsome like his daddy and strong willed like his mommy. What a combination. He’ll be so stinkin cute that you won’t be able to discipline when you need to!!

Yeah, that’s what I’m afraid of (that I won’t be able to discipline him when it’s needed because he’s so stinkin’ cute).

Jan and Jason,
What a beautiful miracle! He is another Jason, for sure! I keep you in thought and prayer and know you will be blessed with an easy labor and delivery. That is one lucky and blessed little boy to have you two for his parents!
Love, Nita Gill
